So why is my blog called Alabaster Agony you ask? And no, it's not because my skin is extremely light. It is all about my entertaining (albeit embarrassing) recent debut on television.
In a once in a lifetime opportunity, I was on 'Millionaire Hotseat' and given a very straightforward question. It wasn't even for the big bucks... only a simple $1,500 question. But the pressure got to me. When asked what do you call someone with very pale skin... I froze. 'Albino', I thought. Of course. But that was not an option. Instead I saw this:
A) Alabaster B) Calcium C) Ebony D) Gypsum.
I now know the answer is A. Very soon after my time in the spotlight I realised I went to an alabaster factory less than two years ago. But at the time, every answer seemed just as likely as the next.
There are four people in the history of 'Millionaire Hotseat' who were talking too much that they ran out of time. This blogger is the fourth.
It was something I will never have the opportunity to do again (probably not a bad thing!) but that adventure seems to sum me up quite well... the girl who will put herself out there just for the fun of it.
Prepare to read crazy stories by a girl who now knows the true meaning of alabaster.
